| Clydes
|
| Address: 3236 M Street, NW Clydes (Washington) D.C., 20007 Description: Opened in 1963 in Washington's most fashionable neighborhood, Clyde's was an immediate sensation. The concept was simple and sound - good food, good camaraderie and real value. It soon drew a crowd from all walks of life and Clyde's grew to become a local legend. The 1976 hit "Afternoon Delight" was inspired by our late-afternoon appetizer menu and the gold record still hangs here in the restaurant. With its long oak bar, plank flooring, original oil paintings and theme rooms like the popular Back Bar with its vintage railroad posters, Clyde's of Georgetown defined the tasteful style that is Clyde's unique signature.
